Hello, I'm Sviatoslav Yemets, creator of fantasy world named Egyptian Legend and recordsmen of Ukraine. - "Sviat, tell us the secret. How did this idea come to you?" - many ask just a moment after hearing about the Egyptian Legend. Okay, okay. But listen carefully. That's simple, guys. Good imagination, free time and love to your own deeds - that's what you need to create something, be it a book or a whole house.
Achieve your goals, enjoy your life, watch your health, live in wealth, admire your family and friends, and don't loose hope, 'cause off it pays.
What inspired you to author this book?
I always had fantasies, and always loved reading, watching
cartoons and animes. Geek culture was always part of my life. Due to it, when I
was 10 years old, the decision was done: I want to write a book.
Where did you get the inspiration for your book’s cover?
My own fantasy) Always tried to look for some popular book
covers to understand their main themes, positioning and everything else. After
that I did my best to create as unique piece of art as possible)
Who has been the most significant influence on you personally and as a
writer?
The society, geek culture, and the will to create a cool
story.
What were your struggles or obstacles you had to overcome to get this
book written?
Many years of corrections, lack of money and experience.
Tell your readers about your book.
Fantasy story in a magical world where no humans ever
existed. Instead of them you see many different creatures and animals, from
different epochs, myths, real history periods. They keep their own natural
features, though most of them developed a bipedality (they mostly walk on two
feet/paws/hooves); The main ideas, nature and characteristics of this book
are: - Love - Conflicts - Misunderstanding - Xenophobia – War.
Who is your target audience, and why?
Mostly teenagers and older. The reason for it are that this
book might be too complicated for children (though I don't doubt that some may
understand and enjoy it). Plus, starting from approximately 10 years old, our ideas,
tastes and overall character start to drastically change. This book is all
about it. The changes and the character. Some heroes change because they want,
some - because they must, few remain the same for many years. This book is a
chronical of my own life. Through it, with my changes, changes of characters,
ideas and text always followed me. And I hope this book, the beginning of an
even bigger story and plot, will give people some ideas and inspiration!
What do you consider your greatest success in life?
When I will be a good farther, good husband and happy
person. Being happy is a success already, and I hope to achieve it. Adding to
it - freedom. I want to be free to choose almost everything)
What one unique thing sets you apart from other writers in your genre?
I am not the one to judge. Though instead I may say a bit
about my strongest characteristic in writing, from my own opinion. I try to
avoid using already created patterns, cliches, instructions on how to write a
story (even the editor who helped me with the translation of a book told, that
the style of a story, overall balance and readability are very high, and they
are unique in the best way possible. A big compliment from an editor who
already had 1000+ clients.
